As a supplier of power monitoring products, SATEC employs different minerals in the manufacturing process.
While SATEC requires all our suppliers to comply with the Electronics Industry Code of Conduct (EICC), found at https://www.responsiblebusiness.org/code-of-conduct// , sourcing materials only from environmentally and socially responsible suppliers, we recognize the complex supply chain involved with certain metals and have taken steps to ensure that metals we purchase do not originate in conflict mines. The electronics industry uses certain metals, some of which are potentially refined from minerals obtained from these mines.
The metals that SATEC uses are tantalum, tin and gold (SATEC does not use Tungsten in any of its purchased/manufactured products).
SATEC requires its suppliers using any of the above materials to fill the standard CMRT form, found at https://www.assentcompliance.com/resources/templates/cmrt/ .
SATEC complies with this legislation and has received statements from suppliers who ensure they do not source raw materials from these restricted locations.
Since the supply chain for these metals is complex, SATEC has requested its suppliers to trace these metals to their source, and to take corrective actions if any conflict mines are used. SATEC and its suppliers do not knowingly use any minerals from conflict mines and will regularly query suppliers to verify our requirements are being met to help ensure the health and safety of all workers in our supply chain.
